About this role
RISE Community Services is an organization focused on supporting individuals with disabilities and fostering a positive, growth-oriented workplace. The Human Resources Coordinator supports personnel administration, compliance, recruitment and onboarding, training, employee relations, investigations, and workforce development while collaborating with organizational leadership.
What you'll do:
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records in accordance with federal, state, and organizational requirements
- Process personnel actions including new hires, status changes, transfers, promotions, and separations
- Assist with HR reporting, audits, record retention, and data management
- Support payroll and benefits administration through accurate personnel documentation and recordkeeping
- Monitor compliance with DOL regulations, wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable employment regulations
- Assist with internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to employment laws, DESE requirements, and organizational policies
- Track mandatory employee trainings, background screenings, certifications, and credentialing requirements
- Identify compliance concerns and communicate recommendations to HR leadership
- Assist with corrective action processes and related documentation
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities to ensure new certified employees receive a positive and comprehensive orientation experience
- Support recruitment activities including candidate communication, interview scheduling, and pre-employment processes
- Assist with organizational training initiatives, leadership development programs, and mandatory compliance training
What they're looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years of age
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HR information systems
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees, supervisors, and organizational leadership
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a Missouri Class E chauffeur's license within 14 days of hire
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
