About this role

The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to support operational human resources activities for Athletics. The role provides consultative support to the Senior Human Resource Partner, maintains HRIS records, monitors compliance activities, responds to employee queries, analyzes workforce data, and supports HR programs, recruitment, position management, training, and organizational change.

What you'll do:

  • Facilitating various human resource transactions, projects, tasks, and ad hoc requests for the institution
  • Providing consultative support to the Sr. Human Resource Partner - Athletics
  • Analyzing and interpreting reports to make recommendations to the HRPs to support decision-making processes for the units
  • Monitoring completion of compliance documentation, requirements, and trainings
  • Maintaining and updating accurate employee records in HRIS
  • Addressing tier-one employee queries
  • Generating ideas for improvement and identifying trends by maintaining and generating reports proactively and seeking solutions
  • Coordinating the roll out and change management of new programs such as onboarding, performance management and systems implementation
  • Identifying areas for greater collaboration for HR to drive greater speed, accuracy, and ease on the partner
  • Coordinating position management activities
  • Evaluating and documenting HR processes
  • Recommending operational improvements

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field
  • One year of experience in human resources or related field
  • Experience with Human Capital Management Systems such as Workday
  • Knowledge of HR fundamentals, including data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple requests efficiently
  • Ability to interpret and apply HR policies, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and develop recommendations that support business objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, managers, and leadership regarding complex HR matters
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while exercising sound judgment and discretion
