About this role

Gunnison Valley Health is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to provide clerical administration and serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking HR support. The role supports recruitment and retention, maintains confidential employee files, coordinates HR programs and events, manages learning records, and helps ensure audit readiness.

What you'll do:

  • Create an image of helpfulness and proper guidance with all HR situations that arise. You will present an organized work station, insure that work is complete, neat and accessible, and communicate and help to resolve problems
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly timed tasks such as payroll data entry, workers compensation entry, creation of FMLA packets, tracking required licensure activity, processing pre employment, and creating and managing employee files
  • Manage the online learning management system, tracking assignments, completions and maintenance of appropriate records in employee files
  • Help to plan and coordinate employee recognition events as requested
  • Coordinate the attendance of Employee Orientation Day, by preparing packets, managing invitations and scheduling rooms, snacks and meals
  • Ensures readiness for audits by running monthly HR file tracers

What they're looking for:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) year clerical experience in an office setting is required
  • An ability to work effectively under the stress of meeting deadlines and responding to change
  • Ability to navigate complex processes and proactively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to relate well with health system employees, physicians, board members and visitors
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software skills
  • Occasionally (1-33%) Standing, walking, change position, reaching, reach across midline, crouching, stooping stairs, lifting (0-20 lbs), carrying (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (20-50 lbs)
  • Frequently (34-66%) - Handling, pinching
  • Continuously (37-100%) -Sitting, must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance
  • Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred
  • Human Resources experience is preferred
