About this role
KLS Martin Group is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support their HR team with various administrative and operational activities. The role involves assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, compliance, and HR projects, providing hands-on exposure to multiple HR disciplines and professional skill development.
What you'll do:
- Assist with recruiting activities, including posting positions, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
- Support employee lifecycle processes, including but not limited to including onboarding, offboarding, and personnel record management
- Assist with data entry and updates in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and company events
- Assist with training coordination, including scheduling sessions, tracking attendance, and preparing materials
- Conduct research and gather information for HR projects and process improvements
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and other HR-related documents
- Support compliance efforts by maintaining confidential records and assisting with audits as needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and HR records
- Respond to routine employee inquiries and direct questions to appropriate HR team members
- Assist with updating HR policies, procedures, and employee communications as needed
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
- Junior, Senior, or graduate-level student preferred
