About this role
Magnera Corporation is a materials solutions company seeking a Human Resources Intern to support HR operations and compliance. The role assists with HR policy administration, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, reporting, database maintenance, and training activities.
What you'll do:
- Interprets and applies established HR policies ensuring compliance with Federal and State employment laws
- Assist in maintaining and promoting a safe and healthy environment for employees
- Ensure HR processes and procedures are consistently administered
- Maintain HR database ensuring the accuracy of data and compiling of HR reports
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports
- Keep abreast of employment law and current legislation in relation to HR
- Support hourly recruitment efforts including reviewing job descriptions, placing job postings on applicable recruitment platforms, participate in interviews, evaluating applicant skills, and making recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications and skills
- Develop and maintain relationships with universities and other recruitment sources
- Participate and work collaboratively with the training team in the development and execution of new employee orientation programs and procedures for new hires
- Track applicants and complete quarterly statistical information regarding new hires and the onboarding process
- Participate in planning and execution of employee engagement events and activities
- Other duties as assigned
