Human Resources Intern

Martin's Famous Potato Rolls and Bread is a multi-facility bakery company producing and shipping products domestically and internationally. The Human Resources Intern provides assistance and administrative support to the HR team on projects, including onboarding, recruiting, process analysis, employee communications, and general HR tasks.

What you'll do:

• Performs research and develops solutions to assigned projects and tasks related to the HR function. Tracks progress, deadlines and priorities of all projects assigned
• Learns the operations aspects of the facility and how HR supports the operation
• Assets HR team in on-boarding new employees, developing new programs, and increasing employee communications with the facility
• Performs process analysis for current HR processes and procedures. Suggests potential alternatives to improve efficiency and timeliness; i.e. Oracle system utilization
• Supports recruiting process by posting advertisements, receiving applications and resumes
• Tactical duties as needed; i.e. filing, distribution, department communications, etc

What they're looking for:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Currently attending accredited institution majoring in HR Management or Business Administration
• K nowledge of Human Resource Information s ystems
• Internet
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software
• Time keeping software
• Electronic mail
• P urchasing system
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear
• The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• The employee m ust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus
