Human Resources Intern

Synergy Cooperative is a locally owned cooperative that values community and employee support. They are seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to gain hands-on exposure to key HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement while developing foundational skills for a future career in Human Resources or Business Administration.

What you'll do:

• Gain hands-on exposure to real HR functions that impact the employee experience
• Receive mentorship and feedback from seasoned HR professionals
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and special projects
• Build skills that prepare you for a future HR or business career
• Earn money and gain valuable professional references
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and administrative support

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Dependable, punctual, and eager to learn
• Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs. (e.g., office supplies or event materials)
• Commitment to uphold company values and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions
• Strong organization and time management skills with attention to detail
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• A proactive mindset—comfortable taking initiative and following through
• Collaboration and teamwork in a professional office setting
• Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
• 18 years minimum: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position
