About this role

Wisconsin Steel & Tube Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Intern to gain hands-on experience alongside its Human Resources team. The role supports recruitment, candidate screening, onboarding, employee engagement, records management, and other HR-related projects.

What you'll do:

  • Support and lead recruitment efforts for hourly, shop-floor positions
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews
  • Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding activities
  • Serve as a technical resource by addressing and resolving questions and issues related to the recruiting function
  • Create and post job openings on various job boards, internal platforms, and social media channels
  • Organize and maintain employee records by scanning and uploading new and existing documents into the electronic filing system
  • Assist the Human Resources department with additional HR-related functions and projects, as assigned
  • Manage and respond to departmental mail and correspondence
  • Follow and comply with all safety regulations and work rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time
