Human Resources Summer Intern (Fort Worth, TX) 2027

BNSF Railway is a transportation company and one of the largest U.S. railroads. The Human Resources Summer Intern will gain hands-on experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, and other HR functions while contributing to strategic initiatives and participating in professional development and mentorship activities.

What you'll do:

• Lead and participate in projects that will influencebusiness decisions and impact the organization's future
• Partner with HR teams to share insights and propose recommendations and present proposalsto team leaders and Sr HR leaders
• Participate in various HR department activities such as hiring, performance management, talent development to gain exposureto these processes across the organization and develop more insight into HR’s impact on the organization
• Possess leadership, teamwork, clear communication, adaptability, and resilience to overcome obstacles and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
• Daily work is conducted in an indoor office environment

What they're looking for:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States and will be at least eighteen (18) years old upon hire
• Does not require BNSF's assistance, now or in the future, (whether monetary, through sponsorship, or otherwise) to obtain, maintain, or extend employment authorization (including H-1B, STEM OPT/CPT, or TN nonimmigrant status)
• Pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, OR a similar degree program from an accredited university
• Have and will maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA
• Have LESS THAN three (3) years of professional work experience, EXCLUDING internships, part-time jobs, or positions held while pursuing my undergraduate and/or graduate degree
• Prior intern experience or less than 3 years of work experience in Human Resources or a related field
• Have or have held a leadership position in a campus, community, or extracurricular organization
• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
