IBM Z Engineering System Test Hardware Developer - Poughkeepsie, NY - Intern 2027

IBM develops advanced computing systems and IBM Z products for customers. The Hardware Test Engineer Intern will test and support mainframe hardware and firmware, collaborate with engineering teams, diagnose issues, and contribute to lab testing and technical documentation.

What you'll do:

• Assist in the testing of mainframe hardware components including processors, memory modules, and I/O systems
• Collaborate with firmware and systems engineering teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration
• Help diagnose and resolve hardware issues through testing, debugging, and failure analysis
• Support lab testing efforts, including hardware bring-up, functional verification, and environmental testing
• Contribute to technical documentation for procedures, and test results
