About this role

The Aerospace Corporation is a trusted partner to the nation’s space programs, providing technical expertise across satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems. The Electrical Design Engineer will design and build prototypes, support internal research and development projects, develop and debug digital and analog circuits, and test and troubleshoot circuit boards in a laboratory environment.

What you'll do:

  • You will work with other engineers to design and build prototypes for internal and external customers
  • You will provide electrical engineering design support to scientists and technicians working on internal R&D projects
  • You will design digital circuits, schematic capture, hardware debug and test, and operations support for newly delivered instruments
  • You will test and troubleshoot digital and analog circuit boards in the lab
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed
  • Training and mentorship will be provided

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
  • Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation
  • 0-1 year of industry work experience
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Experience testing electronics in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc
  • Knowledge of basic electronic circuit concepts and theory
  • Familiarity with basic programming concepts
