About this role
The Inter-American Development Bank Group is a multilateral development organization focused on improving lives and supporting economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Data Analyst - Portfolio Management Intern will help develop data-driven solutions, improve portfolio monitoring, integrate data sources, maintain dashboards, and identify process improvement opportunities.
What you'll do:
- Review and help improve Power BI and Tableau dashboards that provide visibility into portfolio quality and trends
- Support the identification, mapping, and integration of key data sources to improve data accessibility, extraction, and validation
- Support the development and maintenance of centralized portfolio monitoring dashboards that consolidate portfolio performance, compliance, and operational metrics
- Support the mapping of key portfolio management processes to identify opportunities for improvement
What they're looking for:
- • Education: An active graduate student in computer science, data science, industrial engineering or similar from an accredited University
- • The graduation date should be after the Internship period
- • Languages: Fluency in English with a working knowledge of one other Bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is a plus
- • Soft Skills: Result-driven, collaborative, innovative, client-oriented, strong communicator, self-motivated, eager to learn, and excellent time management event
- • Key Skills: Learn continuously, collaborate and share knowledge, focus on clients, communicate and influence, innovate and try new things
- • Technical skills: Ability to work with multiple data sources and large datasets
- Desirable knowledge in Advanced Excel (Power Query, Pivot Tables, data analysis) and SQL for data extractions and manipulation
- Experience/expertise in dashboard design and KPI development
- Desirable knowledge in Power B (preferred) and/or Tableau
- • Citizenship: IDB Invest has no nationality restrictions
- • Active student: Enrolled in a graduate (master's or Ph.D.) program as of the starting date of the internship program
- • The graduation date should be after the Internship period
