This role in summary

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment. This role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining high-quality standards, and supporting the production team through proactive maintenance and technical expertise in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Safety & Compliance: Work safely in a busy manufacturing environment. Maintain LOTO certification and adhere to NFPA 70E standards and company safety policies.

  • Operational Excellence: Execute production run changeovers, including precise equipment setup and adjustments.

  • Problem Solving: Analyze and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) standards and problem-solving methodologies.

  • Maintenance: Complete CMMS-generated (Maximo) preventative maintenance and work orders. Perform daily/weekly Autonomous Maintenance tasks, including lubrication, calibration, rebuilds, and component replacement.

  • Communication: Actively participate in daily shift changes. Openly communicate across all departments and management levels to resolve issues and drive a "Winning Team" approach.

  • Documentation: Document equipment breakdowns and maintenance activities using World Class Manufacturing problem-solving methodology.

  • Quality Control: Perform and record quality checks according to specification sheets; follow escalation protocols to prevent production delays.

    • Lifting/Carrying: Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items with assistance.

    • Movement: Must be able to continuously stand or walk for extended periods and frequently bend and squat.

     

Minimum requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with a heavy focus on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Aptitude: Must pass a technical aptitude test for consideration.
  • Schedule: Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Controls & Electrical: Working knowledge of AB PLC logic, Relay logic, and Servo-driven equipment. Proficiency with AC/DC electrical equipment and meters (Voltage, Multi-meter).
  • Systems: Deep understanding of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Mechanical, and Part drawings.
  • Equipment: Proficient use of hand tools (wrenches, sockets), machine tools (drill press, welder, saws, grinders), and measuring devices.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in PC/Mainframe systems, including MS Office (Word, Excel) and CMMS software.

 

Preferred requirements

Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related technical discipline
