Information Security Intern

ENSCO, Inc. provides engineering, science, and advanced technology solutions to governments and private industries worldwide. The Information Security Intern will support day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including Tier 1 SOC monitoring, incident investigations, compliance, vulnerability management, security tickets, and IT Help Desk activities.

What you'll do:

• Assist with Tier 1 SOC alert monitoring, triage, documentation, and escalation
• Support security incident and phishing investigations
• Assist with vulnerability tracking and remediation follow-up
• Work InfoSec help desk and security-related tickets
• Provide support to the IT Help Desk as necessary, including basic troubleshooting, user support, and ticket resolution
• Support CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and other compliance activities, including evidence collection and documentation
• Help maintain security procedures, playbooks, reports, and operational documentation
• Support general cybersecurity projects and day-to-day InfoSec operations

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of networking, Windows, cybersecurity, and incident response concepts
• Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
• U.S. Citizenship Required: Yes
• Exposure to Splunk/SIEM, EDR, Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Tenable, CMMC/NIST frameworks, and/or PowerShell/Python
• CompTIA Security+
