Information Security Intern- Summer 2027

Meijer is a family-owned company serving people and communities. The Information Security Intern will participate in an 11-week internship focused on delivering innovative solutions to real business projects while gaining exposure to security technologies, compliance programs, secure coding practices, and large-scale retail information security.

• Progress toward a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Customer focused — dedicated to meeting the expectations of internal and external customers
• Relationship skills — builds positive working relationships with customers, team members, leadership, and other internal and external partners
• Communication skills — explains technical work clearly, in writing and verbally, including to non-technical audiences
• Foundational information security concepts and secure coding practices
• Functional understanding of IP networking
• Knowledge of routing and firewall operations
• Identity and access management and zero-trust concepts
• Endpoint / anti-malware and email security
• SIEM platforms and intrusion detection or prevention products
• Cloud security posture, vulnerability management, or incident response
