About this role
Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is a human services organization seeking a Data Analyst to support agency-wide analytics needs. The role gathers, cleans, analyzes, and reports on data from the electronic medical record system and other sources, while creating dashboards, supporting reporting, monitoring data quality, and assisting with statistical modeling projects.
What you'll do:
- Extract, clean, analyze, and summarize data from multiple sources
- Prepare reports and data summaries for a variety of audiences
- Create dashboards and visualizations to highlight key metrics and trends
- Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to monitor data quality and accuracy
- Support recurring and ad hoc reporting needs
- Contribute to the development and standardization of data analysis and data management best practices
- Assist the Data Scientist with statistical modeling projects, including data preprocessing, visualization, and validation of results
- Maintain compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical standards
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- One to three (1–3) years of experience in data analysis or a related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in a programming language used for data analysis (e.g., R or Python)
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Understanding of basic statistical theory and data analysis techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S
- Experience with non-profit, social impact, or human services organizations preferred
