Information Technology Intern - Cybersecurity (Spring 2027)

Phillips Edison & Company operates retail services for grocery-anchored retail centers and is seeking an Information Technology Intern focused on Cybersecurity. The intern will monitor and investigate security events, support security solutions and assessments, provide cybersecurity training, respond to help desk tickets, and monitor email security activities.

What you'll do:

• Monitor security events and review logs to identify anomalies and possible incidents within the network
• Respond immediately to cybersecurity-related alerts and provide a thorough investigation and analysis
• Conduct Cybersecurity training, briefings, and presentations for multiple levels of business
• Support the implementation and tuning of network and computer security solutions
• Perform security assessments of applications and systems vulnerability testing and risk analysis
• Research and identify cybersecurity trends and best practices
• Respond to help desk tickets assigned to the cybersecurity team
• Conduct daily monitoring and actioning of security activities related to email

What they're looking for:

• A current university student enrolled in a degree seeking program studying Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other closely related field (e.g., digital forensics, network security, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team
• Excellent written and organizational skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities at once
