About this role
Phillips Edison & Company provides retail services for grocery-anchored retail centers. The Information Technology Intern will support the cybersecurity team by monitoring security events, investigating alerts, conducting assessments, supporting security solutions, and assisting with cybersecurity training and help desk activities.
What you'll do:
- Monitor security events and review logs to identify anomalies and possible incidents within the network
- Respond immediately to cybersecurity-related alerts and provide a thorough investigation and analysis
- Perform research and analysis of tools and procedures providing feedback and recommendations
- Conduct Cybersecurity training, briefings, and presentations for multiple levels of business
- Support the implementation and tuning of network and computer security solutions
- Perform security assessments of applications and systems vulnerability testing and risk analysis
- Research and identify cybersecurity trends and best practices
- Respond to help desk tickets assigned to the cybersecurity team
- Conduct daily monitoring and actioning of security activities related to email
What they're looking for:
- A current university student enrolled in a degree seeking program studying Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other closely related field (e.g., digital forensics, network security, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team
- Excellent written and organizational skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities at once
