About this role

Dechert LLP is seeking a temporary Information Technology Operations Analyst to support the firm’s core IT services. The role performs operational maintenance, Level 2 technical support, system monitoring, patching, audits, account administration, documentation, and issue escalation across multiple IT teams.

What you'll do:

  • Support IT Systems, Network, IT Security, Modern Workplace Engineering, IT Client Services, and Applications and Development teams
  • Provide Level 2 assistance for Help Desk tickets by troubleshooting client technical issues, resolving items when possible, and escalating as needed
  • Follow established server build and decommissioning checklists
  • Schedule and apply server patches, complete post-patching checklists, confirm servers are operational, and verify monitoring services are working properly
  • Perform production application testing after server patching and other impacted changes
  • Complete scripted monthly network and domain maintenance tasks and follow up with appropriate teams as required
  • Work with other IT teams to perform periodic audits, including data center, camera, backup, and SQL-related reviews
  • Create and maintain process and quality documentation
  • Submit change requests through ServiceNow Change Management
  • Run scripted daily health checks, identify and escalate new items, update existing items with current status, and engage the appropriate team based on script instructions
  • Complete ad hoc service maintenance tasks, such as printer DNS record changes and Active Directory group cleanup
  • Monitor and review application batch and interface logs and escalate identified issues to developers

  • 4 years of College in an IT-related field or comparable IT based curriculum in a trade school
  • 1-2 years of non-specific IT experience working with a team
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information comfortably and competently in a discreet and secure manner
  • Self-motivated and highly productive
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written/verbal communication
  • Be able to work independently without direct supervision
