Institutional Support and Operations Analyst I

Liberty University is seeking an Institutional Support and Operations Analyst I to support the Institutional Effectiveness & Research Office. The role focuses on data quality and analysis, academic operational support, business process improvement, project collaboration, and training and communication with academic units and stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Performs data entry and updates where needed to ensure data quality for various academic tools and systems
• Performs data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to academic units and leadership
• Summarizes and describes raw data sets for IER consumption
• Assists schools, colleges, and departments in meeting IER deadlines for maintaining data quality
• Evaluates for compliance with institutional policies and manages risks related to data quality and process integrity
• Assists with operational support to academic units, aligning with IER's strategic initiatives, tools and reports
• Works closely with academic units with a focus on customer service
• Understands university systems and data sets and accurately represents that information to academic units
• Assists IER in streamlining academic processes using new or current technology in coordination with ADS
• Documents academic processes, reviews inefficiencies, and makes recommendations for improvement to supervisor
• Continuously monitors and evaluates academic processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements
• Contributes on tool creation to support academic policy and process development

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required
• Experience using MS Excel and Information Systems
• Experience using pivot tables, graphs and charts, VLOOKUP and other Excel functions
• Ability to attain an understanding of technical systems that support the assigned business unit in an effort to provide reporting and subject matter recommendations and support
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data management
• Knowledge of academic policies and procedures within higher education institutions is an advantage
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information
• Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner
• Excellent computer and organizational skills
• Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature
• Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard
