What you’ll be doing...
The Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team is a part of the Business Markets segment organization within VBG. This role will be responsible for leading local and market-level integrated marketing strategies and programs (such as local market pilots, and regional growth initiatives) across the CMO and Verizon Business Group. You will focus on marketing strategy, execution, performance management, and go-to-market plans relative to local launches, campaign pivots, and product promotions.
In this role, you will work in lockstep with Field Marketing, Media, Creative, and Digital/Dotcom teams to build integrated local aircover, optimize media performance, ensure digital journey alignment, and drive local business growth. You will own internal communication of local campaign progress to all stakeholders, agency briefings, and GTM kickoffs while ensuring flawless execution. Additionally, you will serve as a flexible, agile contributor on the team, taking on other key IMC initiatives and special projects as business needs evolve. In this role, you will report to an Associate Director within the IMC segment team.
The IMC Senior Manager will lead the planning, management, execution, creative optimization, and reporting on hyper-local and multi-channel campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive local sales lead generation/appointments, and build long-term business relationships. You will have the authority and independence to ensure that requirements, communication opportunities, and risks across local markets are identified, managed, and completed in a timely fashion to achieve on-time completion of key deliverables.
Responsibilities will include:
Collaborating in lockstep with Field Marketing, Product, and Sales leads to define localized campaign objectives, align on community outreach strategies, and establish baseline briefs.
Partnering closely with Media teams to monitor campaign performance, track KPIs/GAs, and optimize local/regional media plans.
Working closely with Creative teams and agencies to analyze performance data and execute real-time creative pivots, A/B testing, and local message testing.
Owning and managing the digital and Dotcom integration for local initiatives—ensuring seamless user journeys, landing page alignment, appointment-booking functionality, and strong cross-functional digital execution.
Authoring, owning, and presenting strategic briefs, local pilot presentations, and deck updates for multiple LOBs and leadership stakeholders.
Synthesizing media performance and local event ROI (GAs, leads, engagement) to share regular results, updates, and strategic recommendations out to leadership.
Managing complex, multi-faceted timelines across varied geographical markets with exceptional organizational skills to ensure all deliverables stay on strategy and on deadline.
Leading and supporting additional high-priority IMC initiatives and cross-functional projects outside of local marketing as needed by the business.
Maintaining a deep understanding of local market dynamics, competitive threats, and emerging trends to fill knowledge gaps and refine marketing strategy.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Marketing experience in local marketing, regional go-to-market strategies, or field marketing integration.
Experience working closely with Media and Creative teams to evaluate live campaign metrics and execute iterative creative pivots.
Experience working cross-functionally across Digital/Dotcom, Field Sales/Marketing, Product, and Media teams.
Experience creating and presenting executive-level decks, performance readouts, and strategic briefs to Sr. Director-level leadership and above.
Experience translating localized market insights and data into compelling stories and sales enablement tools.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Master’s degree – more impressive if you have an MBA.
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to juggle multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Copilot) to streamline workflows, enhance productivity, and support decision-making.
Agency or consultant experience.
B2B Marketing experience, specifically targeting small-to-medium businesses (SMBs).
Proven digital/Dotcom marketing background with a solid understanding of web journeys, lead conversion pathways, and digital trends.
Strong project management background with high attention to detail and process optimization.
Agile mindset with the ability to easily adapt and step in on high-visibility adjacent projects.
Must be a team player and highly effective communicator capable of building strong cross-functional relationships.
If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
