About this role
We are looking for a Media Supervisor who demonstrates strong foundational media expertise, and is able to produce & execute strategic and creative media plans that lean into data and culturally-driven insights for our clients.
At Giant Spoon, we encourage our clients to prioritize impact over impressions, and to reimagine what “media” means in a commoditized media landscape. We believe in expanding how people experience brands and that boring is bad for business. As part of that, true partnerships (and not just transactions) are both effective for brands and more interesting for consumers than the one-way legacy approach.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the details. Qualified candidates take pleasure in getting to “do it all” at Giant Spoon, meaning you will gain experience with planning and buying across all channels - not just be relegated to one portion of the process, limiting potential for growth and holistic experience. Individuals that enjoy working on projects that blur the lines between media, strategy, intelligence, and creativity should apply.
This role works out of our NY office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Role We are seeking a VP, Media Strategy to serve a dual mandate: providing senior strategic oversight across our media planning teams while also elevating the department’s strategic capabilities in audience development, communications planning, and data-driven insights. This person will be both a hands-on leader who ensures day-to-day quality across accounts and a strategic authority who raises the bar for how we think about media. At Wpromote x Giant Spoon, we believe the line between brand and performance is a false choice. We encourage our clients to prioritize impact over impressions, and to think about media as an integrated system - not a collection of channels. We combine creative ambition with measurement rigor to help brands grow at every stage of the funnel. The ideal candidate combines deep media strategy expertise with the leadership presence to command a room. They understand the full media landscape - from linear and connected TV to programmatic, social, audio, and emerging channels - and can translate audience insights and data into strategic frameworks that drive business outcomes. They have a strong point of view on how brand and performance media work together, and can articulate measurement approaches that give clients confidence in their investment. This person is equally comfortable leading a client presentation, mentoring a junior planner, and pressure-testing a comms plan. We are looking for someone with a creative and entrepreneurial drive who thrives on the complexity of managing multiple accounts simultaneously. This role requires proven managerial experience and a genuine passion for developing junior talent into strong media strategists. The ideal candidate is someone who is ready to become a Spoon - to give a damn, try anything, and enjoy the people they are working with. This position will be working out of our NY office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $195,000 - $225,000. Salary is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location. For this role, we also offer programs such as medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and various other benefits and perks. #LI-DNI
