About this role
Envelop Group is a community of companies focused on designing, installing, and optimizing custom facility technologies. The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking activities, reporting, financial recordkeeping, and accounting process improvement projects.
What you'll do:
- Assist with processing vendor invoices and supporting documentation, including coding and entry into the accounting system
- Help maintain organized records for invoices, packing slips, and other vendor documentation
- Assist with vendor communications regarding payment status and remittance details
- Support the reconciliation of vendor statements and help ensure payment accuracy and completeness
- Assist with receiving, recording, and applying customer payments across multiple payment methods
- Help respond to routine customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, and account balances
- Assist with customer statement preparation and follow-up on past-due accounts
- Learn how banking activity, ACH transactions, and other cash transactions are recorded in the accounting system
- Assist with maintaining customer and subcontractor certificates of insurance
- Support the accounting team with month-end processes and related documentation
- Assist with accounting reports, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records
- Gain hands-on experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

- Comfortable learning new technology, accounting systems, and computer software

- Preference will be given to local candidates; no relocation or housing stipend is available for this position
