Intern | Accounting

Great West Casualty Company is an insurance company specializing in products and services for the trucking industry. The Accounting Intern will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, close activities, and financial analysis while gaining exposure to corporate accounting practices.

What you'll do:

• Assist with daily accounting operations and financial reporting activities
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare and analyze financial data, reports, and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Review financial records for accuracy and completeness
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects
• Help maintain accounting documentation and records
• Collaborate with team members on process improvement initiatives
• Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
• Junior or Senior standing preferred
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred
