Intern-Accounting

ITC Holdings Corp. offers a Summer 2027 Internship Program providing practical experience supporting accounting business objectives. The Accounting Intern will gain exposure to financial reporting, data analysis, compliance processes, and rotational assignments across accounting functions while supporting special projects and organizational objectives.

What you'll do:

• Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and variance analyses
• Assist with tax computations, returns, and audit documentation
• Use Excel and accounting software for reporting and analysis tasks
• Participate in internal audit activities, including reviewing controls and compliance processes
• Participate in special projects and attend team meetings to learn industry practices

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• This program is a 12-week program during the summer, with 40 hour work weeks
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer
