Intern - Accounting

Keystone Cooperative is offering a hands-on summer internship for individuals interested in accounting, finance, or general management within the agriculture-related industries. The intern will support the corporate accounting department, assist Controllers with accounting and financial analysis, improve inefficient processes, contribute to budget preparation, and gain practical experience with company-wide financial operations.

What you'll do:

• Work with the corporate accounting department on accounting support activities, as needed
• Assist Controllers in performing accounting tasks and ad hoc financial analysis projects
• Duties would include identifying a manual, inefficient accounting process and formulating a solution that would provide operational efficiencies
• Contribute to the preparation of the next fiscal budget, including forecasting, estimation and template administration
• Attend meetings with Controllers and divisional leaders or staff if available
• Develop firsthand understanding of the processes and procedures required to support the accounting and financial needs of a company with a significant number of locations and complexity

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Ag Economics, or another Ag Management related field
• Overall GPA 3.0 or better
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Completion of at least two accounting or finance related courses, preferred
• Experience with excel, Power BI or Tableau software packages, preferred
