Intern - Accounts Payable

Acxiom is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist Intern to support accounting operations. The role involves auditing and validating financial data, reviewing and processing invoices, assisting with billing and collections, maintaining financial systems and documentation, and supporting process improvements and compliance.

What you'll do:

• Audit and validate data and research to resolve problems with data
• Review customer invoices
• Read, understand, and communicate contractual obligations related to timely payments and reporting to data contributors
• Assist with billing, research, and collections of customer invoices
• Utilize and ensure data is recorded correctly in data / financial systems (i.e., Workday)
• Assist with small ad hoc projects
• Ensure compliance of controls and policies
• Work closely with team members to meet deadlines
• Maintain process documentation
• Provide continuous improvement to standardize and streamline processes
• Participate in required training to acquire needed knowledge & skills
• Manage time, responsibilities, and priorities effectively with emphasis on your contribution

What they're looking for:

• 40 hours/week work dedication during summer and breaks, 20-25/week during the semester
• Anticipated graduation date between May 2027 - December 2027
• Applicants for this internship position with Acxiom in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Acxiom (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (CPT/OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status)
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting
• Proficiency in key tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Exposure to GAAP, financial concepts and revenue recognition concepts
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Expert-level skill in Excel
