Intern - Assay Pricing Strategy

Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, providing insights and answers that support healthcare providers, patients, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and health systems. The Assay Pricing Strategy Intern will support the Core Automated Testing and Immunology Team by evaluating assay pricing models, analyzing cost data, developing pricing frameworks, preparing business analyses, and contributing to operational efficiency initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Partner with laboratory scientists, procurement, finance, and commercial development teams to evaluate existing assay pricing models and associated cost drivers
• Analyze historical assay pricing data, reagent and consumable costs, testing workflows, and laboratory resource requirements to identify opportunities for pricing optimization
• Support the development of updated pricing frameworks that accurately reflect current testing processes, technologies, and operational costs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to document assumptions, methodologies, and recommendations for assay pricing standardization
• Prepare reports, presentations, and business analyses to communicate findings and recommendations to laboratory and commercial leadership
• Contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency, cost transparency, and long-term sustainability of laboratory testing services

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Business Analytics, Life Sciences, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field
• Strong interest in laboratory operations, sample management, immunology, bioanalytical testing, or clinical research
• Demonstrated attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to analyze data, identify process improvement opportunities, and develop practical solutions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data management tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to scientific teams
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a laboratory environment
• Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a desire to learn laboratory and scientific processes
• Maintains professionalism, reliability, and accountability in a regulated laboratory setting
• Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply
• This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
• 3+ months experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis coursework preferred
