Intern

Applied Pavement Technology, Inc. is a full-service pavement engineering consulting firm providing solutions for the design, evaluation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of roadway and airport pavements. The Engineering Intern will support civil engineers on airport and roadway projects through field data collection, pavement testing assessments, inspections, mapping, and database management.

What you'll do:

• Conducting pavement inspections
• Creating and updating two-dimensional mappings
• Managing database developments and indexing

What they're looking for:

• Course work or a degree in civil engineering, with a concentration in transportation materials
• Knowledge of pavement materials and pavement design and construction practices
• GIS and AutoCAD experience
• These will require occasional multi-day travel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), experience with Structured Query Language (SQL), and good overall computer hardware and software skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Flexibility to travel, work weekends, and overtime as necessary
• Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus
