About this role
ebm-papst is seeking a Human Resources Intern to support its Human Resources team. The role assists with temporary staffing administration, new hire onboarding, HR data management, file organization, employee documentation, and general HR operations while providing coverage during employee leave periods.
What you'll do:
- Assist with temporary staffing processes, including coordinating with staffing agencies, scheduling interviews, tracking candidate activity, and maintaining recruitment records
- Support new hire onboarding activities, including preparing onboarding materials, coordinating orientation schedules, processing paperwork, and ensuring personnel files are complete
- Maintain and organize HR files, both electronic and physical, in accordance with company policies and record retention requirements
- Enter, update, audit, and report on HR data using HRIS, spreadsheets, and other systems
- Assist with employment verifications, background screening administration, and onboarding follow-up activities
- Support the HR team with document preparation, filing, data entry, reporting, and other administrative tasks
- Help monitor and track employee training, certifications, and required documentation
- Maintain high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and company information
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Follow Employee Handbook policies and procedures and uphold organizational values
- Contribute to building a positive work environment
- Report for work consistently and on time
What they're looking for:
- Current student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be available to work in person in the Farmington office on Mondays and Thursdays
- Additional work hours may be flexible based on the student's class schedule and department needs
