Intern - Claims - Data Analytics

MedPro Group is an industry-leading Berkshire Hathaway insurance company with a passion for their clients and team. They are seeking an intern to assist with claims data analytics and operational metrics optimization.

What you'll do:

• Prepare weekly claim activity reports and send out high level management metrics
• Maintain the Defense Panel list
• Prepare semi-annual updates of the Defense Panel Scorecard
• Prepare the monthly Claims optimization presentation
• Work directly with Divisional Claim managers to ensure optimization of operational metrics
• Assist in preparation of monthly International Claims files and presentations
• Select claims and prepare forms for quarterly claims audits
• Validate monthly vendor reports and load into claim management system.Correspond with vendors
• Assist with ad hoc claim audits and data requests
• Take on other projects as assigned
• Participate in company and community activities

What they're looking for:

• Active enrollment in a Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science Bachelor's degree program
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Year-round availability to work in the Fort Wayne office 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours during the summer
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future
• Insurance knowledge (helpful but not required)
