About this role

United Airlines is offering an early-career internship within its Clubs & Lounges team, which plans new clubs, products, amenities, and customer marketing. The intern will support project implementation, coordinate with stakeholders, help minimize operational disruptions during construction and renovations, develop service standards, execute customer communications, and evaluate new club products and amenities.

What you'll do:

  • Provide support for the implementation of new projects, including coordinating with stakeholders, managing timelines, and facilitating communication between project teams and club management
  • Collaborate with club management to minimize disruptions to club operations during construction and renovation projects
  • Develop or update service standards, which may include service delivery assessment, metrics and reporting, industry benchmarking, and customer feedback
  • Develop and execute customer communication plans
  • Identify opportunities and develop test plans for new products and amenities in clubs

What they're looking for:

  • Applicant must be a current undergraduate student graduating in Fall 2028 or Spring/Summer 2029
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field; or other relevant experience
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and ensure attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; must be comfortable talking to and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders
  • Confident in performing data analysis to arrive at insights and develop recommendations
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Position is based in Chicago, IL - must be able to relocate for internship duration
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship now and in the future
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Demonstrated understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and the ability to leverage AI effectively to support research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Applies critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies related to responsible AI use, data privacy, and security
