About this role
AgCredit is a cooperative agricultural lending institution serving customer-owners in rural communities across northwest and central Ohio. The intern will gain hands-on experience in agricultural credit analysis, financial information processing, benchmarking projects, field visits, and the operations of the Farm Credit System.
What you'll do:
- Learn about the Farm Credit System, AgCredit’s operations, products and services, and the primary job functions of branch positions
- Develop the skills necessary to effectively promote AgCredit’s business by understanding how to market its products and services and serve existing customers
- Complete assignments and projects at the association and branch levels as assigned and within the specified timeframe
- Attend the intern orientation, training programs and become familiar with other written materials
- Review information packet
- If assigned, participate in project orientation, all related calls thereafter and contribute towards achieving a positive result of the group project
- Review numbered memoranda relative to assignment
- Shadow and work closely with designated Credit Analyst team member(s) to:
- Understand various job functions
- Gain exposure to different approaches to and types of credit analysis, including retail and commercial/capital markets
- Assist with a team project benchmarking crop production or financial measures
- Collaborate with Credit Analyst team members to identify targeted measures for the 2022027 benchmarking project

- At least one year of post-secondary education
- Reside in one of the counties serviced by AgCredit
- Detail-oriented, curious and willing to learn new skills
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- Working toward a 2- or 4-year degree, preferably in education or business
