Intern, Cyber Professional Services (LCS)

Rockwell Automation offers internships within Lifecycle Services that develop engineering, analytical, and customer-centric skills. The Cyber Professional Services Intern will monitor customer network and security environments, troubleshoot connectivity issues, document incidents, support vulnerability and patch management, and assist senior engineers with cybersecurity operations and customer documentation.

What you'll do:

• Monitor network dashboards and alerts for customer environments
• Acknowledge and escalate critical alerts following standard operating procedures
• Perform basic troubleshooting for connectivity issues (e.g., ping, traceroute, DNS checks)
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Review and update shift handover notes
• Monitor firewall and IDS/IPS logs for suspicious activity
• Assist in reviewing endpoint protection alerts and quarantined items
• Perform routine vulnerability scans and document findings
• Support patch management by verifying patch deployment status
• Help maintain asset inventory with updated security posture
• Generate daily/weekly network health and security status reports
• Maintain documentation for standard procedures and troubleshooting guides

What they're looking for:

• Active enrollment in a four year or advanced degree program at an accredited university
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
• Met us through an event or interned with us in the past
• A cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Demonstrated desire to deliver high-quality customer service
• Possess a valid U.S. driver's license
• Geographically flexible as relocation is an essential part of the program
• Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to approach challenges with innovative solutions
