Intern (Data Analyst)

## Job Description This position will report to the Gresham Equipment Engineering Software Engineer. A successful candidate will work independently while taking direction from the Gresham Equipment Engineering Software Engineer. This role is 100% onsite. ## Essential Competencies - Must be able to maintain a "Big Picture" perspective - Must be able to understand user requirements and complex manufacturing topics - Provide project updates and write functional and technical documents - Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Have strong verbal and written communication skills - Must be able to work independently and in a team to develop innovative solutions - Must be able to work with both a technical and non-technical user community - Use the Microchip tracking systems to log requests, issues, and projects - Follow the Microchip Information Systems policies and procedures on development, project management, and change control ## Requirements/Qualifications Candidate must be enrolled in an Associate's degree plan for Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field and actively attending college courses relating to their degree plan. Be willing to work at least 20 hours per week but will be permitted to work up to 40 hours while maintaining degree program requirements. Position is fully onsite. ## Skills Required - Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) - Basic understanding of relational databases and data structures - Basic understanding of SQL or ability to learn SQL - Ability to analyze and interpret data - Ability to learn and work with enterprise software applications ## Other Skills Preferred - Experience writing SQL queries - Understanding of relational database structures - Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services and/or Tableau - Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts - Experience with a programming language such as Python, C#, Java, or similar - Experience with Visual Studio or other development environments - Experience with advanced Microsoft Excel functions ## Critical Physical Requirements Able to lift, push, pull 25 lbs; carry 25 lbs; sit 60%; stand 10%; walk 30%; must be able to perform activities that include stooping, reaching, handling, thinking, hearing, talking, seeing, work alone, work around others.
