Intern - Data Analytics and Change Management (Fall)

The State of South Dakota is seeking an intern for the Bureau of Human Resources and Administration. The role involves preparation for the HRIS system upgrade, documentation of business processes, and participation in data analytics and change management projects.

What you'll do:

• Work on preparation for the HRIS system upgrade for Payroll and Work Force Management (WFM)
• Standardization
• Process improvements for this and change management effort planning
• Documentation of business processes
• Standard operating procedures
• Process flow maps
• Data analytics and other projects assigned in a variety of HR functions

What they're looking for:

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
• The intern should have a strong understanding of business process documentation along with change management tools and theories
• Data analytics and understanding of data validation would be a plus
• Intern should be able to work independent and with in a team environment
• Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
• Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
• Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
