Intern - Electrical Engineer (Summer 2027)

CDG Engineers, Inc. is a multidisciplinary professional services organization providing engineering, architectural design, and construction administration services. The Intern Electrical Engineer will support the EE team in designing and implementing electrical systems for power utilities, renewable energy, and heavy industrial applications while developing solutions to complex engineering challenges.

What you'll do:

• As an Intern Electrical Engineer at CDG Engineers, you will be a key player in developing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges
• You will work alongside the EE team to design and implement electrical systems for a variety of industries, including power utilities, renewable energy, and heavy industrial

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's  degree in Electrical Engineering - currently enrolled in school as a Junior graduating in 2029, or a Senior graduating in 2028
• Demonstrated class/academic expertise in any core area of: T&D Substation design Renewable Energy - Solar, BESS, Electrification Power Engineering with a focus on heavy industrial systems Automation Engineering or Programming - PLC, DCS, or SCADA Systems System Relaying
• Working knowledge of PVsyst or similar solar design software
• Working knowledge of electric utility industry and environmental issues
• CDG is not currently offering sponsorship for this role.  This includes both temporary visa or permanent visa situations that exist now or in the future, such as: F-1, OPT, CPT, H1, H2, L1, TN, etc
• Working ability with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools preferred
• Working knowledge of SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling software preferred
