Intern-Engineering (MEMS Design)

Microchip Technology Inc. is a global organization that designs technology powering the world. They are seeking a part-time intern for the fall semester to support the design and characterization of MEMS resonators, focusing on investigating nonlinear behavior in new resonator designs.

What you'll do:

• Support the design, testing, and characterization of MEMS resonators
• Investigate and document nonlinear behavior in new resonator designs
• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations
• Update, maintain, and troubleshoot test software and associated laboratory equipment
• Assist with failure analysis activities to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams on ongoing development projects
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and comply with all applicable safety and quality requirements

What they're looking for:

• Completion of the junior year in an accredited electrical or mechanical engineering program, or current enrollment in a master's program in engineering
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site on a part-time basis throughout the fall semester
