About this role

Williams International develops and manufactures jet engines for military and commercial aircraft applications. The company is seeking summer 2027 engineering interns who may support mechanical, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, electrical, software, manufacturing, chemical/material science, or quality engineering activities.

What you'll do:

  • Mechanical: Design, 3D Modeling, 2D Prints, Layout of Engine Systems, Bill of Materials, Stackup Analysis, Structural Analysis
  • Aerodynamics: Design, Performance Analysis, Fluid Flow Requirements
  • Thermodynamics: Engine Cycle Modeling, Engine to Engine Data Comparisons, Cycle and Thermo Analysis
  • Electrical: Design, Embedded Control Systems, Engine Control Software, Component/Assembly Testing
  • Software: Development, and Troubleshooting
  • Manufacturing: Additive, Advanced, Automation, Electrical, Process Development, Facilities, Test Methods
  • Chemical/Material Science: Materials and Processes, Chemical Coating, Welding Process, Penetrant Inspection
  • Quality: Reliability, Requirements, Buy and Make Part Inspection, Manufacturing Process Review, Failure Investigation

What they're looking for:

  • Minimum of 60 credit hours (must be a junior or senior standing or in a Master's program)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
  • Course study must be in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Civil Engineering
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • U. S. Citizenship required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed
  • Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0, preferred
