Intern - ET Operations Analytics (GLEN ALLEN, VA, US, 23060)

Dominion Energy provides reliable, affordable, and increasingly clean energy to power its customers. The ET Operations Analytics Intern will support data requests, operational analysis, automation, time-series data management, PI system operations, SeeQ analytics training, and custom application projects for the Operations Analytics team.

What you'll do:

• Assist Power Delivery personnel with data requests and operational analysis
• Collaborate with team members to enhance automation of data retrieval and data analytics
• Ensuring uptime and proper operation of our PI system resources to ensure current and future state operations of PI are nominally operational for the organization
• Exploring new techniques and PI features to model time-series and asset data
• Whether leveraging native PI capabilities, or utilizing SDK and API capabilities to establish data services and create improved capabilities outside
• Training users on the capabilities of SeeQ for data analytics
• Working with team members and vendors on large-scale, custom application projects

• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively (including strong presentation skills)
• Effective decision-making, organization/time management, and problem-solving skills
• Applicants are required to be working towards a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Must have an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2028 or later
• A GPA of 3.25 or greater is required
• Strong Computing and Programming skills are preferred
• Preference for knowledge of basic electric power concepts, including electric transmission and distribution, power flow, distributed generation and line protection
