Intern - Financial Compliance Job Details | Munich Re Careers

American Modern Insurance Group is a leading specialty insurance provider, insuring residential, commercial, and recreational products. The company is seeking interns for their Financial Compliance team to gain practical experience and contribute to auditing processes, control testing, and data analysis.

What you'll do:

• Work with management in order to gain understanding of the auditing processes
• Execute ‘MARSOX’ (Annual Financial Reporting Model Audit Rule) control testing (IT and financial reporting) in accordance with established auditing standards
• Write and deploy Python scripts that are used to pull data from various applications. This data is then analyzed to look for outliers or potential errors in the data sets, at which time the associates on the FC team work with the business unit leaders and control owners to resolve these potential issues
• Assist in follow up/updating of control deficiencies and documenting progress made during the year

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
• Confidence in use of MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, Teams)
• Authorized to work in the United States of America
• Candidates must be local (Amelia, OH) and will work in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays
• IT, Finance, Automation or data analytics is preferred
• Familiarity with Python is preferred
