About this role
Redwire Space develops mission-critical space infrastructure, systems, sensors, and components for exploration and national security missions. The intern will participate in hands-on projects supporting National Security Space objectives while working alongside experienced professionals in a selected engineering, technical, research, project management, or business discipline.
What you'll do:
- You will be performing hands-on meaningful projects aligned with our company goals and objectives
- You will work directly with our trained and dedicated professionals, meet with our executive and leadership team members and be assigned a mentor who will help coach you and guide you during your internship
- As a National Security Space intern at Redwire you will be working alongside our professional team of experts in one of the following disciplines: * Aerospace Engineering * Robotics Engineering * Mechanical Engineering * Electrical Engineering * Software Engineering * Payloads / Structures * Project Management * Marketing / Communications * Research and Development * Business Development * Systems Engineering
What they're looking for:
- The ideal intern must be passionate about the space industry, have a high level of energy, a drive to work in a team/collaborative environment and a desire to excel in all aspects of your work
- We are looking for candidates who have excelled in all aspects of your college or University experience as demonstrated by the results of previous internships, coursework, projects, research, workshops and other collegiate activities
- We are also looking for candidates who are creative, resourceful and driven to success
- Our ideal candidates must be currently enrolled in a nationally accredited University or College, pursuing either a Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. in one of the disciplines noted above
- As part of our selection criteria, we will be reviewing your grades and transcripts, considering any formal training, lab work, research papers compiled, any prior work in co-ops, internships, and any related work experience
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Applicants must be Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be passionate about space!
