About this role
Envelop Group is a community of companies focused on custom facility technologies and provides related design, installation, and optimization services. The HR & Recruiting Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting recruiting, core HR operations, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, HR reporting, and related projects.
What you'll do:
- Assist with the recruiting process by reviewing applications and resumes and helping identify qualified candidates
- Learn and assist with candidate sourcing strategies across job boards, social platforms, referrals, schools, universities, and other recruiting channels
- Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating communication between candidates and hiring teams
- Learn the fundamentals of candidate screening and participate in the recruiting process under the guidance of the HR team
- Maintain accurate candidate information and activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Gain hands-on experience using iSolved and other recruiting and HR technology
- Assist with career fairs, university events, recruiting events, and other talent acquisition initiatives
- Support efforts to build relationships with colleges, universities, trade schools, and other potential talent sources
- Assist with onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork, employee file setup, and orientation preparation
- Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS
- Support benefits administration and respond to routine employee questions under the guidance of the HR team
- Assist with HR reporting, documentation, and compliance-related activities
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Comfortable learning new technology and computer systems, including HRIS and ATS platforms
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
- A growth mindset and willingness to learn
- Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude
- Preference will be given to local candidates; no relocation or housing stipend is available for this position
- Must possess US work authorization and not require sponsorship for an employment visa by Envelop Group at any time in the future
- Interns must be available to work up to 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks
