About this role
Richard is a construction company focused on delivering impactful projects and advancing innovation and sustainability in the industry. The Human Resources Intern will support onboarding, employee development, engagement, recruiting, HRIS maintenance, compliance, reporting, and other initiatives that improve HR processes and the employee experience.
What you'll do:
- Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation activities
- Support internship, early-career, and employee development programs
- Assist with employee engagement, recognition, and company culture initiatives
- Help coordinate training and professional development programs
- Support performance management and career development initiatives
- Assist with maintaining accurate employee information and HRIS records
- Gain exposure to employee benefits, leave administration, and other HR programs
- Assist with HR reporting, data analysis, and workforce metrics
- Support HR compliance activities and employment documentation
- Help prepare employee communications, presentations, and HR resources
- Participate in career fairs, recruiting events, and other talent acquisition initiatives
- Assist with special projects designed to improve HR processes and the employee experience
What they're looking for:
- * Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Psychology, Communications, or a related field
- * Strong written and verbal communication skills
- * Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in working with people
- * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- * Ability to handle information professionally and maintain confidentiality
- * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- * Interest in talent acquisition, employee development, benefits, HR operations, or broader people strategy
- * Desire to learn and grow within an organization that invests in its people
- * Familiarity with HRIS, applicant tracking, or other HR technology is a plus
