Intern - IT (Summer 2027)

Commerce Bank is a financial services organization committed to helping people and businesses thrive. The IT Intern will work on an agile development team to analyze, design, code, and maintain full-stack software applications while collaborating with IT teams and contributing to strategic projects. The internship also provides mentorship, professional networking, and hands-on experience with real business initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Work as part of an agile development team to analyze, design, create, code, and maintain a full-stack software application
• Collaborate and network with over 20 IT teams that support the bank
• Partner with your peers and mentor to complete projects and duties
• Perform other duties as assigned

• * General understanding of principles in one or more programming language such as Java or C#
• * Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• * Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• * Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• * Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
• * Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent experience required
• * Preferred Junior or Senior standing
