About this role
The Hanover Insurance Group is an insurance company offering a summer internship program for college students. The Medical Strategy Analyst Intern will support the Claims Medical Strategy Business Analyst group by analyzing data, developing business tools and reporting analytics, communicating findings, and contributing to projects and presentations.
What you'll do:
- Support the Medical Strategy Business Analyst group within our Claims Department
- Use analytical skills to the development and enhancement of unique propriety business tools that drive optimization and consolidation of agent partners business
- Collect, analyze, and report data to meet customer needs
- Assists in the developing tools, processes and reporting analytics in support of business growth and needs
- Communicate with customers, external partners and internal departments frequently
- Develop data and reports for field and customers to articulate value to agent partners and customers
- Provide accurate analytical support to team supported ensuring results are validated and accurate
- Summarize information and effectively communicate analyses in writing and verbally to internal partners
- Assist in various projects, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving business environment
- Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
What they're looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program
- Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative, creativity and analytical skills
- Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
- Marketing, sales, or customer service background preferred
