Intern - Onboard Software Developer

Hitachi Rail provides signaling systems for metros and light rail systems, delivering efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. The Intern - Onboard Software Developer will assist with onboard software design, programming, documentation, and system testing while gaining hands-on experience in urban transit technology.

What you'll do:

• Assist in the design of onboard software development in accordance with established design principles, procedures, and specifications
• Assist in programming onboard software development in accordance with rules and all related specifications
• Assist with preparation of project and design documentation
• Assist with test setup and testing of onboard software development systems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Current Electrical or Software Engineering student at a 4-year university with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
