Intern, Production Planning

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an intern to support production planning activities. The role assists with manufacturing build plans, scheduling, material availability, shop order management, production status monitoring, and coordination with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, engineering, program management, and customers.

What you'll do:

• Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules
• Utilize Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to input Master Schedule build plans, track material availability, status kit readiness, release shop orders, and maintain all shop order records and inventory integrity
• Update and maintain make items lead times within MRP system
• Manage floor stock of program components
• Work jointly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedule and address any issues in a timely manner
• Work with Materials Planners to proactively manage the schedule and material dock dates to ensure accuracy of planning
• Provide hardware status, updates and performance statistics to program team based on status of hardware through Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related field
