About this role
The Hanover Insurance Group is an insurance company committed to delivering on its promises and supporting its customers. The Intern - Property Analyst will support the Claims Property Analyst group by analyzing data, developing business tools and reporting analytics, communicating findings, and assisting with projects throughout a 10-week summer internship.
What you'll do:
- Support the Claims Property Analyst group
- Use analytical skills to the development and enhancement of unique propriety business tools that drive optimization and consolidation of agent partners business
- Collect, analyze, and report data to meet customer needs
- Assists in the developing tools, processes and reporting analytics in support of business growth and needs
- Communicate with customers, external partners and internal departments frequently
- Develop data and reports for field and customers to articulate value to agent partners and customers
- Provide accurate analytical support to team supported ensuring results are validated and accurate
- Summarize information and effectively communicate analyses in writing and verbally to internal partners
- Assist in various projects, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving business environment
- Create and present a final presentation for management and leadership members at the close of the internship program highlighting the work you accomplished throughout the summer
What they're looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program
- A strong interest in property and casualty claims or construction
- Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrates initiative, creativity and analytical skills
- Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
