Intern_Retail Operations Analyst

ENGIE North America Inc. is leading the Zero-Carbon Transition by developing renewable and efficient energy solutions. As a Retail Operations Analyst Intern, you will support the Cash Application & Broker Commissions teams in processing payments and ensuring financial accuracy while gaining hands-on experience in financial operations.

What you'll do:

• Apply incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices accurately
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or customer accounts
• Assist in reconciling daily bank transactions and identifying exceptions
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve cash application efficiency
• Work with unclaimed property team to ensure items are properly distributed and accounted for
• Support the month-end closing process by preparing relevant documentation
• Communicate with customers or internal teams regarding payment issues when necessary

What they're looking for:

• You are at least a Sophomore Undergraduate Student and is currently working toward a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
• You are mathematically inclined and demonstrate strong quantitative reasoning
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You have strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and are goal oriented
• You have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy
• You are self-motivated and able to work independently without assistance from your supervisor
• You have proficiency with standard office software packages
